Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager with strong Construction Administration experience to lead projects through the construction phase. This role serves to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with the design intent, contract documents, project specifications, and applicable building codes.
This position combines office-based project coordination with regular construction site visits throughout South Florida and offers the opportunity to work on luxury hospitality, high-rise residential, mixed-use, and commercial developments.
Essential Responsibilities
Manage projects throughout the construction phase from Notice to Proceed through Final Completion.
Represent the architectural team at Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings.
Review and respond to RFIs with the project team and consultants.
Coordinate reviews with structural, MEP, civil, landscape, lighting, and specialty consultants.
Review shop drawings, submittals, product data, and material samples for compliance.
Prepare and issue ASIs, clarification sketches, and supplemental documentation.
Coordinate revisions to construction documents and distribute updates.
Perform regular construction site visits and prepare detailed field observation reports.
Monitor construction activities for compliance with contract documents, design intent, and applicable building codes.
Provide timely technical solutions to field conditions while maintaining the project's design intent and construction schedule.
Resolve field conditions with contractors and consultants.
Ensure construction quality and compliance with architectural documents, specifications, and applicable building codes.
Review contractor pay applications and evaluate change order requests.
Coordinate punch lists, substantial completion, final completion, and project closeout.
Maintain organized project documentation and correspondence.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Project Architects, consultants, and internal staff to maintain project schedules and ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
5+ years of architectural experience with significant Construction Administration responsibilities.
Professional architectural licensure preferred or actively pursuing licensure.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, detailing, building systems, and sequencing.
Thorough understanding of the Florida Building Code, ADA requirements, and industry standards.
Experience with hospitality, luxury residential, commercial, high-rise, and mixed-use projects preferred.
Ability to coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, civil, and consultant drawings.
Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple active projects in a fast-paced environment.
