We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Residential Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing functional, aesthetically pleasing residential spaces that reflect client needs, lifestyle, and budget. This role involves collaborating with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to bring residential projects from concept to completion.
This position will be on-site, Monday - Friday in our Minden, NV or Reno, NV offices.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop design concepts and layouts for residential projects including high-end single-family homes, multi-family units, and renovationsCreate detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit)Conduct site visits and assessments to gather measurements and understand spatial requirementsCollaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and budget constraintsSelect materials, finishes, fixtures, and furnishings that align with design goals and client expectationsCoordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design feasibility and compliance with building codesAssist in preparing and presenting design proposals to clientsManage project timelines and budgets, ensuring milestones are metRequirementsBachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from an accredited institution4+ years of professional experience in residential designLicensed Architect or Licensed Residential Designer preferredProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design toolsStrong understanding of residential building codes and construction processesBenefitsThe comprehensive benefits plan offered by Wilson Engineers exceeds industry standards, and is aimed at meeting each employee\'s personal and professional expectations.
