Architectural Specialties CAD Technician Job

​ As our CAD Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the product line for Armstrong World Industries (AWI) at our headquarters in Lancaster. What you'll be doing Complete Shop Drawings in 2D and sometimes 3D that require little or no modifications to our typical suspension systems Proactively create and maintain CAD library drawing files Create drawings and details to accompany bid documents, installation instructions, brochures, and web-based applications for custom and standard products Provide drawings and details to customers under direct supervision and review by management Inspect drawings submitted by newer employees for adherence to drafting standards Recognize problems or issues with customer submitted drawings and clarify requirements before completing drawings Building relationships with internal and external customers, including Contractors and Architects What will make you successful Strong AutoCAD skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization Very detail oriented, experience with deadlines, strong computer proficiency Desired Qualifications: Associate degree with an emphasis on Design, Architecture, or Mechanical field or additional relevant experience in lieu of degree AutoCAD 2D or 3D work experience Ability to read and understand architectural drawings Ability to produce 3D drawings What makes you stand out: Experience in architectural office or construction industry Previous Inventor experience 1+ years of relevant AutoCAD 2D or 3D work experience Experience in mechanical design or manufacturing drawings Why should you join Armstrong World Industries?
