Architectural Staff II

Role Description: Huitt-Zollars has an excellent full-time opportunity for an Architectural Staff II at our Orlando office. HZ Orlando is a growing office where team members are actively engaged in the growth and culture of our team. HZ is an award-winning Architecture and Engineering firm providing innovative planning, architecture, engineering, and interior design solutions across the United States. Simultaneous work on a minimum of 2-3 projects at various stages of development.Prepares project designs and construction documents using BIM software and equipment.Prepares various documents during the course of the project development including meeting minutes, project specifications, agency applications, etc.Visit project sites under the direction of a supervisor and assist with the documentation of findings, if needed.Research materials, assemblies, or building codes for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawings as directed by a supervisor.Integrate information from consultants and suppliers into Revit Models for documentation.Be motivated and excited for commercial projects as entertainment and hospitality, with a drive to research and be current in market direction, projects, and new advancements in the industry.Contribute ideas, research, testing, and sketching for creative pursuit and direction.Assist in the processing of contractor submittals and RFIs by logging in the documents and routing them to the appropriate party for review. Having a deep understanding of how your work and contributions as a co-owner add to Huitt-Zollars’ mission and core values.Understands, follows, and enforces Huitt-Zollars' business process.Routinely proposes and produces more effective ways to accomplish assignments.Maintains a safe and hazard-free work area and operates with a 'safety first' approach to their work – even within an office setting.Routinely functions in a technically proficient manner on project/technical operations.Takes on more responsibilities and actively seeks out opportunities to grow/learn beyond their typical key responsibilities that add value to the quality, efficiency, and/or profitability of a project(s), a team(s), or the Company’s performance.
