The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, multi-faceted professional to fill a key full-time, permanent role on our team. This is not an entry-level position — we need someone who can own projects from concept through completion, lead technical drafting at a high level, and keep multiple concurrent projects on track. You will work directly alongside our current lead architect and project manager, supporting and collaborating on active projects while bringing your own expertise and initiative to the table. The right candidate will quickly become an integral part of our architectural and project management operation, working closely with ownership, field teams, and clients to deliver outstanding results.
What You'll Do
Work closely with and directly support our lead architect /project manager —collaborating on active projects, filling coverage gaps, and ensuring continuity across all ongoing work.Lead and produce high-quality architectural cut stone shop drawings, cut tickets for fabricators, and technical plans using AutoCAD and related software.Manage projects from kickoff through closeout — tracking timelines, milestones, budgets, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.Perform detailed take-offs and quantity estimations for stone, tile, and building material projects with precision.Conduct job site visits to collect field measurements, verify on-site conditions, and identify discrepancies between design and reality.Serve as the primary point of coordination between ownership, subcontractors, vendors, and clients — ensuring alignment on scope, schedule, and expectations.Prepare and maintain all project documentation: drawing revisions, RFIs, change orders, submittals, and project reports.Establish and enforce drawing standards, version control, and file organization protocols across all projects.Mentor and oversee support staff or drafting assistants as the team grows.Participate in business development conversations, providing technical insight during client consultations and proposals.
What We're Looking For
3+ years of professional experience in architectural drafting, design, and/or construction project management.Advanced proficiency in AutoCADDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Strong understanding of construction documents, building codes, and industry standards.Experience with take-offs, estimating, and material quantification — particularly stone, tile, or masonry.Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all deliverables.Strong client-facing communication skills — written, verbal, and visual.Use the keyword "ROX" in your first answer on the application.Associate's degree or higher in Architecture, or a closely related field required; Bachelors degree preferred.
