Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) is one of the largest privately held architecture and engineering firms in the Southeast, with offices located throughout Alabama, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Kentucky.
The GMC Architecture Community is growing and has an opening for an Architect II for architectural projects in Columbia, SC . The Architect II is responsible for the technical execution and delivery of exceptional projects.
Member of multi-office architecture practice sharing, contributing, and learning best practices for delivering exceptional projects that include local government/civic, academic and healthcare.
Ability to work on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects.
Understanding of the entire project process-development/scoping, design, and construction.
Ability to design and detail a complete project, system component or process.
Prepares complete project documents including the Project Manual/Specifications
Proficient in Revit Architecture, and complementary design tools.
Interacts with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others.
Attends project meetings and presents specific aspects of architectural assignment.
Bachelor of Architecture from an accredited architectural program
Registered Architect or completed NCARB Program
Proficient in Revit
Must be a self-starter, team player and able to establish good working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, team members, and other employees
Ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines
Travel requirements:
~ GMC Architecture is a nationwide practice with clients, completed projects and active projects in 36 states. Travel to project sites may be required.
