Description
The student organization advisor will provide guidance, support, and organization to assist students in group meetings and activities.
Examples of Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare organization roster and submit to Student Services by end of the second week of September and again the first week in February.Submit monthly activity reports during the Fall and Spring semesters.Complete, with the help of the organization's student leadership, annual allocation documentation requested by Student Government Association (SGA)Ensure organization participates/coordinates two events per semester.Plan organization activities and events, ensuring all required forms and approvals (including travel requests, catering requests, event planning forms, and any other necessary documentation) are completed and submitted at least one month prior to the scheduled event date.Maintain compliance with all College policies and procedures.*Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Attend or coordinate a designee to attend orientation, open-house, and SGA meetings.Explain basics of Modern Rules (Roberts Rules) for running a formal meeting to organization members.

Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across cultural boundaries and work harmoniously with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Associate degree preferred.High school diploma or equivalent.
