Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated designer professional to join our Dallas, TX team and contribute to the design and delivery of K–12 educational facilities.
This position is ideal for an architectural professional with 0–6 years of experience who has a strong foundation in architectural design and documentation and wants to grow within a collaborative, education-focused practice.
The Architectural Staff member will work closely with Project Architects, Project Managers, consultants, and other members of the design team throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in Revit, has strong technical and graphic skills, and is interested in developing a career focused on K–12 architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the design and documentation of K–12 educational facilities from schematic design through construction documentation and construction administration.
Produce accurate and coordinated architectural drawings and construction documents using Revit.
Develop plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, diagrams, and presentation materials.
Assist Project Architects and Project Managers with day-to-day project production and coordination.
Participate in programming, space planning, design development, and design studies.
Coordinate architectural information with structural, MEP, civil, landscape, and other consultants.
Assist with the development and maintenance of coordinated Revit models.
Research building materials, assemblies, products, and applicable codes.
Assist with reviewing drawings and identifying coordination issues and discrepancies.
Participate in internal design reviews, project meetings, and consultant coordination meetings.
Assist with preparation of presentations, client materials, agency submissions, and permit documents.
Participate in site visits and field observations as needed.
Assist with construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, punch lists, and field documentation.
Maintain project documentation and follow established office and project standards.
Work collaboratively with senior staff while progressively taking ownership of assigned tasks.
Support multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or higher from an accredited university.
0–6 years of professional architectural experience.
Strong proficiency in Revit is required.
Knowledge of architectural construction documentation and building systems.
Understanding of basic architectural detailing and construction methods.
Strong verbal, written, graphic, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous K–12 / educational project experience.
Experience working on school campuses, classrooms, administration buildings, athletic facilities, performing arts spaces, or other educational environments.
Familiarity with Texas building codes, ADA requirements, and applicable life-safety requirements.
Experience with construction documents and consultant coordination.
Working knowledge of REVIT Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design/documentation software.
Previous experience with Texas school districts or public-sector projects is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: 55,000–85,000 annually

Progress toward architectural licensure
Candidates with strong K–12 experience, advanced Revit capabilities, and 4–6 years of experience may be considered above the posted range.
