About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Architecture Team Leader to support our expanding architectural team and business unit at our Jacksonville, FL office. This position will collaborate closely with our Vice President of Architecture. The ideal candidate should have over 15 years of progressive leadership experience in an architectural design firm, demonstrating a commitment to guiding a diverse architectural and interior design team. You will work alongside the Vice President to set targets and strategic direction for employee development and recruitment, while managing the operational facets of our practice. We seek a candidate with a proven track record in delivering successful architectural projects, strong leadership capabilities, and a dedicated work ethic. This is an outstanding opportunity to influence the growth of our architectural practice within a multi-disciplinary A/E firm.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Vice President on the strategic direction of the groupStrategically align resources across our multiple offices to achieve growth goals in various service sectors (federal, municipal, industrial and commercial)Manage the recruiting and hiring processes for all officesCoordinate scheduling of resources for all programsDrive improvement processes for architecture design work intake from various programsFocus on employee development and engagementProject management duties based on project type and group needsExhibit effective people management and leadership skillsMarketing and Project Pursuits
Support marketing and project pursuits in collaboration with other Pond leadership and our Marketing teamOperational Duties
Oversee day-to-day operations, resource management, and financial performance metricsWork in tandem with Project Managers and Design Team to make daily resource allocation, staffing, and project budget decisionsEvaluate resources and their effectiveness to meet current and future needsReview and approve new hiresLead training, mentoring, and professional development for direct reports and team membersTechnical Responsibilities
Manage and oversee our Quality Assurance ProgramContribute to branding Pond as a recognized technical leader in the industryQualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited universityArchitectural Licensure is mandatory; NCARB certification is preferredOver 15 years of relevant experience, including people and project managementAbility to thrive in a collaborative team environment with a positive attitudeStrong motivation to produce high-quality work and contribute to practice growthA eagerness to learn and advance professionally
