Assistant Professor of Architecture

The School of Architecture (SoA) at Florida Southern College (FSC) invites applications for a 9-month, Tenure-track Assistant Professor of Architecture position beginning fall 2026. The successful candidate will contribute to building national and international recognition for the school and college and promote a collaborative culture for the mutual benefit of the institution and the internal/external communities it serves. The incumbent of this position reports directly to the Dean of the School of Architecture and is responsible for promoting the advancement of the mission and vision of Florida Southern College and the School of Architecture. Teach undergraduate courses in the School of Architecture Advise and mentor students to promote student success Develop and maintain a robust program of scholarly/creative work within the discipline Incorporate scholarly/creative activities into the teaching environment including student- faculty collaborative activities Engage in service to the school, the college, the profession, and the community Participate in curriculum development, implementation, evaluation/assessment, and program improvement Participate in initial and ongoing accreditation processes at the School and College level Participate in faculty governance by serving on program, school, and college committees and within workgroups Participate in the recruitment and selection of qualified faculty, staff, and mentor Participate in the recruitment and admission of students Participate in School of Architecture and College activities and celebrations Serve as a liaison and ambassador to engage professional practice and industry partners Support the learning needs and success of students from diverse backgrounds Collaborate within and across departments and schools within the College to promote the vision and goals of the College Contribute to the success of the College and the School of Architecture by performing other duties as assigned by the Dean of the School of Architecture About our ideal candidate Home to the world's largest single-site collection of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture, FSC has appeared on The Princeton Review's top 20 "Most Beautiful Campus" national listing for 12 consecutive years.
