Associate Architect

HC Solutions Group is excited to collaborate with a distinguished architectural firm in San Antonio, Texas, seeking an enthusiastic Associate Architect to take the lead on public safety, justice, and government facility projects. Responsibilities • Manage one or more large public safety or justice facility projects, or multiple smaller programs • Lead design and oversee the production of construction documents • Coordinate with consulting engineers and multidisciplinary teams • Contribute to technical specifications creation and coordination • Oversee project schedules, staffing plans, and design criteria • Participate in planning, procurement, and construction administration phases • Conduct construction administration services, including submittal review • Maintain project quality control and engage in office-wide quality assurance initiatives • Engage with local government officials, public agencies, and stakeholders • Support business development and foster relationships with repeat clients Required • Professional Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution • Licensed and Registered Architect in the State of Texas • 5 to 8 years of professional experience as a Registered Architect • Experience managing significant institutional or government projects • Advanced knowledge of planning, design, building systems, and construction documentation • Strong oral and written communication skills • US work authorization and ability to obtain or maintain required security clearance Experience with detention, public safety, secure facilities, or criminal justice projects is highly preferred.
