AutoCAD Technician – Landscape Architecture

Location: Ocala, Florida
Employment Type: Full-Time, Monday-Friday (No Telecommuting)

About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented AutoCAD Technician to join our design team. You will play a crucial role in transforming conceptual sketches from our Landscape Architects into precise technical drawings. The ideal candidate has a passion for site design and a strong technical background in creating construction documentation for residential/commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting & Production: Develop detailed site plans, grading plans, irrigation layouts, and planting plans using AutoCAD.
Construction Documentation: Prepare comprehensive CD sets, including hardscape details, sections, and elevations.
Design Support: Assist Landscape Architects in the refinement of schematic designs and design development phases.
File Management: Maintain organized project folders and ensure all CAD standards and Xrefs are consistent across the firm.
Collaboration: Coordinate with civil engineers, architects, and MEP consultants to ensure seamless site integration.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in AutoCAD (required). Experience with Microsoft Office/Excel, Land F/X, SketchUp, and M-Coloris a major plus.
Experience: 2-5 years of professional experience.
Technical Knowledge: While not required, familiarity with landscape material, construction methods, and basic grading principles is a plus.
Attention to Detail: Ability to produce clean, accurate, and scalable drawings under deadline pressure.
