**Job Summary:**

Salas O’Brien is seeking a motivated BIM Intern interested in developing their Building Information Modeling (BIM), Revit, and engineering technology. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience supporting Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEPF) engineering teams while receiving structured training from our BIM team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate from a technical school, community college, engineering technology, architecture, CAD, or related program who is interested in pursuing a career in BIM.

**What You’ll Learn & Do**

Working alongside our BIM Managers, BIM Coordinators, engineers, and designers, the BIM Intern will receive training and practical experience in:

* Autodesk Revit and MEP modeling
* Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection modeling
* Revit project setup and model maintenance
* BEN Revit templates, families, and standards
* Autodesk Forma / cloud-based project collaboration
* Architectural and engineering model linking
* Levels, grids, shared coordinates, and Copy/Monitor workflows
* View creation, view templates, scope boxes, and sheet setup
* PDF creation and drawing/document quality control
* Model coordination and clash-detection workflows
* BIM standards and digital project-delivery processes
* Supporting engineering teams with day-to-day BIM and Revit needs

**Qualifications**

We are looking for someone who:

* Is currently enrolled in or recently graduated from CAD, BIM, architectural technology, engineering technology, construction technology, or related program
* Has an interest in Revit, BIM, engineering, and technology
* Has basic experience with Autodesk Revit or a strong desire to learn
* Is comfortable working with computers and learning new software
* Has strong attention to detail
* Is organized and able to follow established standards and procedures
* Communicates well and is comfortable asking questions
* Works well in a collaborative team environment

Previous professional BIM or engineering experience is not required. We are looking for someone with the right technical aptitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn.

**Internship Structure**

This is intended to be a paid 3–6-month internship that combines structured BIM training with hands-on project experience.
