BIM Lead - Architectural Design Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated BIM Lead (Project Delivery Focus) to be part of our Cities and Places team. This role is well-suited for a Senior Architectural Designer or BIM Coordinator ready to take on leadership responsibilities, driving BIM coordination and digital delivery for complex and fast-paced projects. Champion the adoption of BIM, enhancing digital delivery and optimizing workflows across multidisciplinary teams.Develop and manage high-quality BIM models, ensuring compliance with LOD standards and documentation outputs.Train, mentor, and provide technical support for tools like Revit, Navisworks, ACC, and others.Set up and manage BIM models, including worksets, templates, families, collaboration settings, and data structures.Engage in model coordination and clash detection using Revit, Navisworks, and ACC to produce coordinated designs.Coordinate BIM processes with consultants to ensure alignment, adherence to standards, and smooth data exchanges (COBie/IFC).Generate accurate 3D models and derive 2D drawings and schedules directly from the BIM model.Conduct reviews, audits, and assessments of models and workflows to promote quality control and continuous improvement.Assist in formulating and implementing project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).Analyze and manage BIM data for design analysis, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimation.Provide guidance on BIM-related issues, offering efficient resolutions to technical challenges.Keep abreast of advancements in BIM software, best practices, and evolving industry standards.Develop automation and scripting workflows to improve efficiency and model accuracy.Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers to align design intent with construction feasibility.Support construction-phase coordination, including RFCs, submittals, and on-site issue resolution.Create visualizations and model-based presentations to enhance design communication and client engagement.Qualifications: 5-10 years of experience in BIM leadership or digital delivery, ideally in a design consultancy environment.Experienced in managing large, multidisciplinary design teams and navigating complex projects through all phases.Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and ACC in multi-disciplinary contexts.Strong understanding of model coordination, clash detection, LOD standards, and BIM data management (knowledge of COBie/IFC preferred).Excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and facilitating collaboration across remote offices.Comprehensive grasp of building codes, design principles, construction methodologies, and overall project delivery.Proficient in Blubeam and MS Office Applications.Preferred Skills:
