Business Support Systems Solution Architect

Company Overview We are seeking a seasoned Systems Solutions Architect to join our headquarters in Killeen (or our Austin/Dallas hubs). In this role, you will be the primary technical visionary for our enterprise clients, designing robust infrastructure that meets stringent federal security standards. Infrastructure Design: Lead the architectural planning and implementation of Dell PowerFlex storage systems and VMware vSphere environments for high-security defense missions.Security Compliance: Architect systems that strictly adhere to CMMC Level 2 and ISO 9001:2015 standards, ensuring all client data is fortified against modern threats.DevSecOps Integration: Collaborate with our development teams to bake security into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring rapid deployment doesn’t compromise system integrity.Client Advocacy: Conduct deep-dive technical assessments for government and commercial clients, presenting complex architectural solutions in a clear, actionable manner.Legacy Transformation: Guide organizations through the migration of legacy on-premise hardware to secure hybrid-cloud environments.Mentorship: Act as a technical escalation point for Field Service Representatives and Junior Engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.Required Qualifications Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and at least 7 years of hands-on experience in enterprise-level IT architecture.Technical Mastery: Proven expertise in VMware vCF, Dell PowerFlex, and managing complex LAN/WAN environments.Clearance: Ability to obtain or maintain a TS/SCI clearance is mandatory due to the nature of our government contracts.Security Mindset: Deep familiarity with NIST frameworks, supply chain risk mitigation, and cybersecurity auditing.Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; you must be as comfortable speaking to a Board of Directors as you are to a systems admin.Preferred Skills
