The Department of Architecture at Cal Poly Pomona invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Architecture, appointment effective Fall 2027. The candidate must have completed the advanced degree by the start of the appointment.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, staff and faculty from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Teach building envelope systems and assemblies, environmental control systems, building performance, and sustainable design practices.Coordinate a team-taught design studio and/or student advising.Advance academic knowledge and/or practice of architecture through research, scholarship, and/or creative activities.Maintain a record of service on university committees, to the discipline of architecture, to professional architectural organizations, and/or to community organizations related to architecture. And, Hold a license to practice architecture in the United States, or be actively pursuing licensure.Have at least 2-years of experience teaching architecture design studios at the post-secondary education level.
