Compensation Overview

The salary range for this position is nationally representative and reflects a wide range of compensation for similar roles. Your actual salary will be influenced by factors including role scope, complexity, location, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, and other employment conditions. Employees are also eligible for performance-based cash bonuses as part of our comprehensive compensation package.

$169,400.00 - $279,600.00

Join our AI and Emerging Technology Architecture team and be part of a strategic, collaborative initiative focused on revolutionizing our business and technological landscape through innovative solutions. As a Chief Architect, you will engage with senior Technology and Business leaders, leveraging your advanced technical insights and visionary approach to design AI systems that provide substantial business value while adhering to high ethical standards.

In this dynamic role, you will:

Utilize your deep knowledge in AI/ML, Generative AI, and Agentic AI systems, including autonomous agent design and multi-agent orchestration frameworks, to create scalable, production-quality AI solutions across the enterprise. Offer consulting expertise to division and domain architects, aligning architecture across business lines and promoting the establishment of an enterprise-wide AI solutions architecture practice. Adapt AI platform capabilities to align with business group strategies, emphasizing reusability, interoperability, and responsible design principles. Establish governance and risk management processes to ensure secure and compliant AI deployments, guided by frameworks such as the EU AI Act and GDPR, in conjunction with strong ethical guidelines. Stay attuned to developments within the AI landscape, communicating insights that inform enterprise initiatives and highlight competitive opportunities. Foster collaboration and consensus among diverse teams while demystifying complex AI concepts for non-technical stakeholders. What Will You Do?

Scope: Architect multiple technology and/or business domains for a business unit. Technical Execution: Lead technology proof of concepts to assess architectural feasibility. Identify and capitalize on technological advancements through analysis of industry trends. Drive ongoing technology transformation to reduce technical debt. Conduct hands-on prototyping for new technology solutions. Collaborate with Technology and Business leadership to align technology direction and proof of concept execution. Strategic Accountability: Provide thought leadership in architecture modernization and technology advancements. Engage senior leadership to establish architectural priorities that support business objectives. Communicate architectural direction effectively to stakeholders. Strengthen strategic relationships to secure organizational support. What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

Technical Expertise & Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or equivalent, with 8 to 10 years of architectural experience. Recent hands-on engineering experience with contemporary technologies. Proven ability to execute complex, large-scale technology strategies. Leadership & Influence: Advanced leadership abilities, fostering collaboration across architecture and engineering teams. Strategic & Business Acumen: Extensive experience in agile operational models and managing transformational change. Proven experience in developing technology target states and aligning them with business goals. Preferred experience in insurance technology and a strong understanding of the industry. Excellent problem-solving capabilities and decision-making skills. Effective communicator with advanced verbal, written, and listening skills. Proven track record of defining scalable, production-ready AI systems and hands-on expertise in AI/ML development. Deep knowledge in AI techniques, including reinforcement learning and decision-making frameworks. Experience with AI governance frameworks and model risk management. What is a Must Have?

Bachelor's degree in computer science, related STEM field, or equivalent experience. 7 years of architecture/software engineering experience. 2 years of technical leadership experience. What Is in It for You?
