City Architect

Prepares plans and specifications for special projects, supervises the drawing of preliminary and final plans, and inspects construction work for conformity to architectural plans. All parts of the examination, including tests and ratings, will be related to the requirements of the position. Ability to: Prepare complete architectural plans, specifications, estimates, schedules, and contracts for new buildings and for the modification and repair of existing buildings.Develop complete architectural layouts and to resolve difficult problems of design.Plan, assign and supervise the work of professional personnel engaged in architectural therefrom.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, architects, engineers, contractors, and the general public.Interpret plans and specifications to contractors and recognize departures therefrom. Other Information If selected, you will be required to pass a physical examination administered by a City physician, a drug and alcohol screening, and a background check. I have attached a copy of my Architect's license issued by the State of Connecticut to qualify for this vacancy.
