Civil BIM Coordinator

RK&K is excited to add a Civil BIM Coordinator, Engineering Support. This position will play a key role in supporting infrastructure projects throughout the firm.   

**Essential Functions** 

Lead Civil BIM and Digital Delivery Initiatives  

* Serve as a firmwide resource for Civil BIM, digital delivery, and infrastructure modeling best practices.

* Collaborate with technical leaders to advance model-based project delivery across transportation, water, and public infrastructure projects.

* Provide Technical Leadership for Bentley and Autodesk Platforms

* Support and optimize workflows utilizing Bentley OpenRoads, OpenBridge, iTwin, Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.

* Evaluate software capabilities, integrations, and emerging technologies to improve project execution.

* Partner with project teams to troubleshoot complex modeling and data management challenges.

* Support Civil BIM Standards to drive continuous improvement of infrastructure modeling processes.

* Advance Artificial Intelligence and Automation Adoption

* Assist with the research and evaluation of AI-enabled technologies, automation tools, and digital engineering solutions.

* Identify opportunities to improve design efficiency, quality control, data analysis, and project delivery through AI.

* Support pilot programs and implementation strategies for emerging technologies.

* Support Digital Twin Strategy and Innovation

* Assist in the development and deployment of digital twin solutions for infrastructure projects.

* Promote the integration of design, asset, and operational data throughout the project lifecycle.

* Identify opportunities to leverage connected data environments and visualization technologies.

* Support Project BIM Execution and Infrastructure Modeling Requirements

* Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to develop BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).

* Define project-specific modeling, data, and digital delivery requirements.

* Assist teams in meeting contractual BIM and digital delivery obligations.

* Work with QA teams to implement Design Review and Model Quality Initiatives

* Help drive Process Improvement and Technology Advancement

* Identify opportunities to streamline processes through technology, automation, and standardization.

* Measure and communicate the value of digital delivery initiatives.

* As part of the Engineering Support team, you will provide Technical Consulting and Project Support

* Serve as a trusted advisor to project teams on BIM implementation, interoperability, data management, and digital delivery strategies.

* Assist with resolving project-specific modeling and technology challenges.

* Support Proposal Development and Pursuit Efforts

* Review client BIM, digital delivery, and infrastructure modeling requirements during pursuits.

* Assist in developing technical approaches, execution strategies, and compliance documentation.

* Contribute proposal content highlighting RK&K’s Civil BIM, AI, digital delivery, and digital twin capabilities.

* Monitor Industry Trends and Emerging Technologies

* Stay informed on advancements in BIM, digital twins, AI, infrastructure technology, and model-based delivery.

* Evaluate industry trends and recommend strategic investments and process improvements.

* Support the firm's long-term digital transformation objectives.

* Manage Digital Delivery Initiatives

* Assist in planning, prioritizing, and executing strategic technology initiatives.

* Communicate project status, risks, opportunities, and implementation progress to leadership.

* Support successful adoption of new processes and technologies throughout the organization.

* Encourage consistent application of digital delivery standards across projects.

* Champion Innovation and Collaboration by building relationships with business units, project teams, and technology partners to advance digital engineering initiatives

**Required Skills and Experience**   

* Minimum **5 to 10 years of experience**

* Background in Civil Engineering

* Strong **3D modeling/BIM experience**

* Experience with **Bentley and/or Autodesk applications**

* Knowledge of tools such as **AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ProjectWise, and OpenX Applications**

* Experience supporting **file management systems, project collaboration platforms, and connected data environments**

* Ideally, some **DOT/client experience**

* Ability to support and guide civil engineering teams across the firm

* Ability to help teams adopt 3D/model-based delivery practices rather than being a traditional IT support person
