Google Cloud Architect Position description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GCP Solution Architect with strong expertise in design and architecture on Google Cloud. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying cloud native solutions and also mentor existing resources on multiple initiatives that are in different stages of implementation). Client Advisory & ConsultingAct as a trusted advisor to clients on cloud strategy, architecture, and modernizationLead client workshops to assess current-state architecture and define future-state GCP solutionsTranslate business objectives into cloud-native and hybrid GCP architecturesProvide architectural governance and ensure adherence to client standardsSolution Architecture & DeliveryDesign end-to-end GCP architectures covering compute, data, networking, security, and DevOpsDefine cloud migration and modernization approaches (re-host, re-platform, re-architect)Architect solutions using GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM, and related servicesEnsure solutions meet non-functional requirements (security, performance, resilience, cost)Review designs, code, and infrastructure for quality and best practicesPresales & Thought LeadershipSupport presales activities including solutioning, effort estimation, and proposal responsesContribute to RFPs/RFIs, architecture decks, and client presentationsProvide technical leadership during bid pursuits and client demosContribute to cloud accelerators, reference architectures, and best practicesGovernance, Security & OptimizationDefine IAM models, security controls, logging, monitoring, and compliance frameworksImplement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelinesDrive cost optimization (FinOps) and operational excellenceSupport audits, security reviews, and production readinessRequired qualifications to be successful in this role Required8+ years of IT experience with 3–5 years in cloud architecture/consulting rolesStrong hands-on expertise with Google Cloud PlatformExperience working in client-facing consulting engagementsIn-depth knowledge of:GCP Compute: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud RunData & Analytics: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQLNetworking & Security: VPC, IAM, Load Balancing, KMSStrong experience with Kubernetes, containers, and microservicesInfrastructure as Code using TerraformExcellent communication, documentation, and presentation skillsPreferred QualificationsGoogle Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certificationExperience with hybrid and multi-cloud environmentsExposure to regulated industries (Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, Government, Telecom)Experience with DevSecOps, SRE, or FinOps practices
