Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team and play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and operating our agency's public cloud environment. Under the guidance of the Public Cloud Specialist Team Lead, you will be responsible for deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure, facilitating cloud migrations, and integrating with on-premises systems. Your expertise will help us implement automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions, ensuring that our cloud services remain secure, scalable, and compliant with regulatory standards such as NIST and IRS 1075.

In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with infrastructure, development, and security teams. Your responsibilities will include:
• Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
• Applying necessary security configurations to safeguard cloud services.
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation of cloud environments and processes.
• Utilizing your expertise in public cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Integrating networking and security fundamentals into cloud design and operations.
• Employing scripting or automation tools to streamline cloud processes.

Required Skills:
• Cloud Platform OS Management (AWS/Azure VM environments).
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
• Proficiency in PowerShell and Python or Bash scripting.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / ARM / CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with Virtual Infrastructure (VMware/Hypervisor).
• Understanding of Server Hardware Fundamentals and Storage Systems (SAN/NAS/Backup Appliances).
• Experience with SQL Server / Relational Databases and Cloud Database Services (Azure SQL / AWS RDS).
• Solid grasp of Database Backup and Recovery Concepts.
• Insight into Cloud Architecture and Deployment Best Practices.
• Intermediate understanding of scalable, secure, and reliable cloud design principles.
• Experience with IT Service Management (Change / Incident / Problem Management).
• Competence in deployment validation and post-implementation testing.
