Our client is looking for an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to design, implement, and manage secure AWS environments for development, testing, and production. This role encompasses enterprise architecture, AI integration, infrastructure as code, DevSecOps, CI/CD, cost management, and transforming prototypes into operational solutions, all while adhering to compliance and authorization protocols.

Rate: $60.00 to $70.00/hr. W2

Responsibilities:

Design robust AWS cloud infrastructures across various environments including sandbox and production. Support AI projects and implement necessary AWS services and controls. Create and prototype solutions that utilize AWS services to achieve performance and reliability targets. Embed reusable technology patterns, scalable security architectures, and enhance cloud cost efficiency. Transform government prototypes into production-ready applications. Design VPCs, subnets, routing, NAT gateways, and security groups effectively. Establish IAM policies following least privilege guidelines. Craft solution architectures for new applications focusing on deployment and integration strategies. Develop and manage infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK. Oversee development, staging, and production environments. Integrate with enterprise security protocols and tools, including Palo Alto firewalls. Generate architectural documentation essential for compliance and ATO requirements. Drive initiatives for cloud cost governance and optimization. Build and manage CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as CodeCommit and GitHub Actions. Handle container images and orchestrations using Docker, ECS, and EKS. Integrate security scanning practices in the deployment pipelines. Lead release management and automate infrastructure deployments. Implement secrets management and secure configuration practices. Deliver infrastructure as code using GAO-approved tools like AWS CDK and CloudFormation. Experience Requirements:

Extensive experience in architecting AWS environments at an enterprise level. Hands-on experience in supporting AI implementation projects. Expertise in VPC design, IAM, and security group strategies aligned with best practices. Proficiency in infrastructure as code with CloudFormation or Terraform. Demonstrated experience in building and operating CI/CD pipelines with modern tools. Experience in containerization with Docker and orchestration using ECS or EKS. Knowledge of integrating security scanning into continuous delivery pipelines. Proficient in producing compliance documentation for ATO processes. Background in optimizing AWS cloud costs and governance. Familiarity with integrating enterprise-level security controls like Palo Alto firewalls.
