We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Administrator to join our team. In this mid-level role, you will serve as the primary liaison between our design team, contractors, and clients during the construction phase of residential and commercial projects. You will lead our team in project implementation in accordance with the contract documents, design intent, and applicable codes, while maintaining strong client relationships and fostering a collaborative construction process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the primary point of contact during construction administration for multiple concurrent residential and commercial projectsConduct regular site observations to verify work is proceeding in conformance with contract documents and design intentReview and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, shop drawings, and material samples in a timely mannerPrepare and issue Architect's Supplemental Instructions (ASIs), Construction Change Directives (CCDs), and Change OrdersAttend and lead Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings; prepare and distribute meeting minutes Review contractor applications for payment and provide recommendations to the clientMaintain organized project records including all CA correspondence, submittals logs, RFI logs, and meeting minutesCoordinate with consultants (structural, MEP, civil, etc.) to resolve field conditions and design conflictsConduct punch list inspections and manage project closeout including collection of warranties, O&M manuals, and as-built documentationProactively identify and communicate potential issues related to schedule, budget, and quality to project stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited institution, or related degree in Construction Management3–6 years of experience in an architectural practice with meaningful exposure to construction administration or in Construction ManagementDemonstrated experience on both residential and commercial project typesWorking knowledge of construction methods, building materials, and building codes (IBC, ADA, local jurisdiction requirements)Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce clear, professional correspondence Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines simultaneouslyFamiliarity with AIA contract documents
Preferred
Architectural licensure (RA) or active pursuit of licensure (ARE candidate)LEED AP or other sustainability credential § Experience with Procore, Newforma, or similar project management softwareProficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
