Fifteen (15) years of directly related experience in lieu of the education requirement; minimum seven (7) years of experience managing facility-construction projects, including supervision of engineering, design, and construction; schedule control; cost management and program budgeting; and overall project-management activities Ability to present three projects of comparable scale and difficulty completed in a similar role OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification or ability to complete the training at contractor expense within 60 days of Notice to Proceed US Citizenship required Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable National Agency Check (NACI) and VA PIV credential Ability to work full-time onsite at the University Drive campus in Pittsburgh, PA Ability to support approximately 30% off-business-hours work, including nights between 5:00 PM and 5:00 AM, as required Prior VA or other federal healthcare design/construction experience EHRM, healthcare IT, low-voltage, electrical, mechanical, or telecommunications infrastructure experience Experience working in active hospitals, including phased construction, infection-control constraints, testing, and commissioning Familiarity with VA Design Guides/Manuals, VA specifications, and VA projects Must be able to stand for extended periods Must be willing to work in external environments of rain, high heat and significant cold.
