The City of Worcester is seeking qualified applicants for a Data & Analytics Architect in the Innovation and Technology Department. Under the direction of the GIS Manager, this position plays a pivotal role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization by combining the analytical rigor of a data scientist with the strategic foresight of a data architect. Experience designing and implementing data models Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) Experience developing enterprise data strategies and governance frameworks Experience supporting AI policy development and implementing AI tools Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex data, integration, or platform issues Ability to optimize systems for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across the data lifecycle Ability to work independently and part of a team in a fast-paced environment Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments. Five (5) years of experience in data science, data architecture, or a related field. Proven experience with data modeling, statistical analysis, and enterprise data integration.
