Design Architect, 5-15 Years Experience (Austin & San Antonio, TX)

Design Architect with 5-15 Years Experience Marmon Mok Architecture is seeking a talented individual for our teams in Austin and San Antonio . This position requires a responsible individual who is passionate about design and the environment, a strong work ethic, and has a firm grasp on the technical aspects of commercial buildings, as well as a solid understanding of commercial construction practices. You should have a strong design sensibility and appreciation for the design process, and an understanding that architectural design is a collaborative process that occurs within a team. Skill Set: Architecture program graduate from an accredited institution Creative, problem-solving mindset, and interest and passion for design Passionate and knowledgeable about current design trends Collaborative, proactive, curious, and professional Able to communicate design ideas via hand sketching and drawings Strong graphic abilities and design sense An understanding of how a building is assembled and how building systems are integrated An understanding of how a set of construction documents is organized An understanding of how building codes and regulations impact design concepts Software: Revit and AutoCAD fluency Adobe (Photoshop), InDesign, and Illustrator preferred Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) The following will be considered a plus: Writing and research skills Photography skills, including understanding of composition and lighting Familiarity with parametric design software, such as Grasshopper Familiarity with 3D printing and small-scale fabrication Sustainability certifications About Marmon Mok: Founded in 1953, we are celebrating our 72 nd year of elevating clients and communities in Texas.
