The **Design Engineering Technician** is responsible for interpreting Architectural and MEP drawings in conjunction with internal cost estimates to accurately **model and draft** shop drawings for submittal, BOM production, and installation. Drafting scope is **primarily Division 10 specialties**, with possible scope in Divisions 09, 11, 12, 22, and related areas. This role interfaces with a variety of co-workers to help deliver the client’s ideal result.
Requirements
**Responsibilities:**
* Review and interpret architectural drawings to generate shop drawings for various project types and sizes.
* Complete shop drawings in a timely manner and according to our company standards.
* Manage project information, maintain notes and documentation, and ensure questions are answered when needed using our proprietary software.
* Work competently in a deadline-driven remote environment that requires independent time management.
* Independently solve problems in close coordination with members of the project team.
**Qualifications:**
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
* Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
* Knowledge of Revit as a modeling and data management tool.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
* Proficient in MS Office programs.
* Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, construction management, and/or 3+ years of drafting experience preferred.
