Engineering Designer I- Civil/Site

As an Engineering Designer, you'll contribute to site development plans, perform engineering calculations, create designs using Civil 3D, and help develop innovative solutions from concept through completion. **Responsibilities**

* Perform engineering calculations and create estimates.
* Develop drawings by modifying or replicating a prior project, applying changes and corrections from redlined drawings, and/or creating drawings from sketches of others or from own design.
* Ensure designs are in accordance with company and client production and design standards.
* Perform QA/QC by verifying design methodology, calculations, outcomes, etc.
* Interpret and understand drawings from multiple disciplines for specific projects and respond to requests for information regarding same.
* Conduct field inspections and surveys, investigate variables, obtain measurements, photographs, videos, and take notes; write reports documenting same.
* Research and apply code provisions to design.
* Work with experienced engineers to create project designs.
* Utilize Autocad Civil 3D on a daily basis.
* Research design options and document findings for project manager.
* Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures, using own judgement to make adaptations and modifications to existing designs.
* Assist other Engineers and leaders as needed in the creation of designs.

**Qualifications**

* Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
* 0-2+ years of related experience.
* Engineer in Training preferred.
* Valid driver’s license preferred.
* Interest in Civil/Site Engineering projects; prior experience preferred but not required.
* Strong CAD skills, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and WaterCAD.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills.
* Attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Civil3D.
* Land Development project experience.
* Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
