Your Role:

As an Enterprise Architecture Leader in our Digital organization, you will drive architectural leadership across multiple Core System platforms, mentor teams, and ensure the adoption of innovative architecture practices. You’ll thrive in a collaborative Agile environment, engaging closely with the Cengage architecture council and other architects to align project insights with industry best practices. Key Responsibilities:

Create and maintain architecture artifacts representing current, transitional, target, and strategic architecture states. Evaluate and suggest solutions that address market group business needs in an efficient and timely manner. Foster a culture of data literacy and lead insight-driven practices across technology and business stakeholders. Develop and implement enterprise data architectures for real-time insights and measurable outcomes. Collaborate effectively with various levels across the organization to support innovative solutions and best practices. Translate technical concepts into clear business language for diverse audiences. Support the execution of enterprise programs aimed at promoting business growth and strategic objectives. Manage multiple priorities with a keen attention to detail. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of systems development and operations. Essential Skills:

Required:

Over 10 years of experience in information technology. 10+ years in systems or application development using OO languages such as C# and Java. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an architectural role. Proven expertise in modernizing systems, hybrid cloud strategies, and creating APIs for legacy system integration. Success in designing scalable, secure, high-availability systems with CI/CD and automated testing. Ability to encourage cross-functional collaboration to implement AI solutions. Experience with service-oriented and component-based architectures. Familiarity with both relational and NoSQL databases. Deep knowledge of software development life cycles and design principles, such as Agile and TOGAF. Experience in developing new technology proofs-of-concept. Capability to manage indirect teams effectively. Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Compensation

At Cengage, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support and empower our employees. The base pay for this position ranges based on experience, qualifications, and location. This role also includes the opportunity for a discretionary incentive bonus based on individual performance and company results.

Target Bonus: 25% Annual

Base Pay Range: $138,000 - $221,000 USD
