Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct quality assurance activities like peer reviews, and establish clear acceptance criteria for new or revised data ingestion solutions.Design architectures that align with business requirements, assisting teams in troubleshooting performance and system errors, and providing data analysis support to identify and resolve data quality issues.Key Responsibilities: Design and maintain data architectures for Medicaid claims, encounters, eligibility, provider, and care management data at an enterprise scale.Create and enforce data standards, canonical data models, and integration patterns that comply with healthcare regulations and state Medicaid requirements.Develop solutions that facilitate regulatory reporting, including CMS and state-specific submissions, encounters, T-MSIS, and quality measures.Collaborate with business, compliance, and analytics teams to translate Medicaid requirements into scalable technology solutions.Define data governance frameworks focusing on data quality, lineage, metadata management, and stewardship.Ensure that data architectures align with HIPAA, HITECH, CMS, and state Medicaid regulations, along with security best practices.Lead efforts in cloud-based data modernization, including implementations of data lakes, warehouses, and real-time processing as appropriate.Evaluate and recommend healthcare data platforms and tools, alongside vendor solutions.Mentor data engineers and analytics teams; provide architectural guidance across various initiatives.Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, architectures, and standards suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.7+ years of experience in data architecture, with a strong focus on healthcare and Medicaid.Deep understanding of Medicaid data domains such as claims, encounters, eligibility, provider, managed care networks, and care management.Hands-on expertise in data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical) specifically in healthcare settings.Substantial experience with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery).Advanced SQL proficiency and comprehensive knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.Experience in building and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines for high-volume healthcare data.Solid grasp of HIPAA-compliant data security, privacy, and governance principles.Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP).Program Specific Preferences: EEO Statement: Maximus is an equal opportunity employer.
