We are seeking an entry-level Associate with a degree in architecture, architectural engineering, or building science to join our Indianapolis, IN office. ## What You'll Do

- Perform forensic investigations, condition assessments, and construction observations of building enclosure and materials issues, documenting distress and collecting samples

- Conduct field testing and data gathering using digital instrumentation and imaging technologies

- Analyze modern and historic construction documents, codes, and design guidelines to support analysis, problem-solving, and repair design

- Use advanced analysis software and calculations for structural and architectural analysis

- Assist in preparing client deliverables: drawings, specifications, reports, and presentations

- Collaborate with project teams, clients, contractors, and other disciplines

- Take responsibility for key project aspects with guidance from licensed professionals

## What We're Looking For

- A Master's degree or better in architecture, architectural engineering, or building science from an NAAB or ABET accredited program

- Solid foundation in architectural and/or structural engineering principles, with a demonstrated interest in investigation, rehabilitation, and design of modern and historic structures

- Relevant internship or research experience is a plus

- Strong technical, graphical, written, and verbal communication skills

- A proactive team player who can work independently and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining high standards of excellence and attention to detail

## Physical Requirements

This role involves both office and field work. You should be comfortable:

- Attending meetings at various office, field, and construction sites

- Performing visual and instrument-based inspections of buildings and structures

- Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs

- Working outdoors in temperature extremes

- Reading construction drawings and diagrams

- Traveling as needed

- Safely working at heights using ladders, scaffolds, lifts, and other access equipment

- Working in occupationally hazardous locations with appropriate PPE, including respiratory protection

- Driving and operating a motor vehicle safely

## Compensation & Benefits

We offer a robust total compensation package. Base salary is determined by qualifications and internal equity, and employees also receive variable compensation based on personal and company performance. A good faith estimate of the annual starting base salary is **$79,280 to $118,920**.
