Entry-Level Architectural and Landscape Designer

Waggonner & Ball, a Moffatt & Nichol Studio, is excited to invite applications for the position of Entry-Level Architectural and Landscape Designer. Collaborate with the Design Team to develop and enhance creative design concepts for client projects.Create and document architectural and landscape designs through detailed drawings.Assist in the development, revision, and updating of production drawings and construction documents.Engage in design analysis and contribute to specifications for projects of varying complexity.Help prepare material sample boards and compelling graphic presentations for client discussions.Coordinate with external disciplines, including Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Mechanical consultants.Review building codes and conduct zoning analyses to ensure compliance with legal standards.Proactively explore current graphic standards and innovative construction methods.Research various construction materials and systems.Perform additional duties as required by management.Please note that this job posting outlines general duties and responsibilities; other specific tasks may be assigned as necessary. Bachelor's degree in Architecture with two years of related design experience, or a Master's degree in Architecture with no prior experience.Genuine interest in Landscape Architecture with a commitment to learning from licensed professionals.Willingness to work on diverse scales of design, from regional systems to detailed elements, engaging in all project phases.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.Proficient in 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software.Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite.Aspirations to complete ARE, LARE, LEED AP, or NCIQ exams.New hires must successfully complete a pre-employment background check in compliance with NIST 800-171.Employment at Waggonner & Ball, a Moffatt & Nichol Design Studio, requires eligibility to work in the U.S. and the presentation of required documentation at the time of hire.Note: Applications must include a portfolio; those without will be disqualified.
