The Architectural Designer role is perfect for early-career individuals eager to develop their technical and design skills. You will assist project teams on various project types from early design through construction under the mentorship of skilled Architects and Project Designers. This role is primarily focused on the Mission Critical sector, with opportunities to work across different market sectors to broaden your experience.

The Role:

As a Technical Architectural Designer II, you will support project teams throughout the design and construction process, gaining valuable expertise in a collaborative environment. Your passion and motivation will guide you to take on greater responsibilities while you contribute to various projects. Responsibilities include applying Revit workflows and project standards to deliver exceptional design solutions.

Essential Functions:

Assist the Project Architect in maintaining design and technical quality.Collaborate with engineers and consultants using Revizto.Support the delivery of professional services in accordance with HED Design Process guidelines.Help direct staff and strategize project delivery with the Project Architect.Effectively communicate design intent through documentation with limited direction.Conduct code research and material/product research as needed for project development.Participate in project meetings aligned with scope and schedule.Coordinate with team disciplines as required by the project.Review submittals during bidding and construction phases as assigned.Engage in managing technical reviews in Revizto throughout project phases.Manage tasks effectively on the Concept board and stay informed about project progress.Assist in developing discipline work plans.Support Project Architect’s responsibilities intermittently.Perform other duties as directed by the Project Architect, Project Manager, or Architecture Practice Leader.Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Architecture (4-year degree) required; pursuit of licensure preferred.Proficiency in Revit is essential.Experience with building codes is necessary.LEED Accredited or other sustainability credentials preferred.Minimum five (5) years in the A/E industry required; Mission Critical sector experience preferred.Foundational understanding of coordination with all design disciplines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Strong organizational capabilities.A commitment to mentoring and motivating team members.Proficient in BIM/Revit, Microsoft Word, Excel.Experience with Revizto, Rhino, Bluebeam, and Concept Board preferred.Detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and adaptable.Ability to thrive under deadlines in a team environment.Commitment to Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion principles.Desire to apply critical thinking for growth and positive impact.NOTE: Please attach work samples or portfolio when applying.Physical Requirements:

Capable of traveling to project sites for meetings.Ability to access various project sites for observations and evaluations.Proficient in using communication and documentation equipment.Visual acuity to perform responsibilities effectively.Work Environment:
