Facilities Architectural Planner
Location: Charlotte, NC
Must Haves
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Planning, or related field5 or more years of experience in architectural or workplace planningExperience in corporate real estate, retail, or multi-site environmentsStrong proficiency with Revit and BluebeamProficiency with Microsoft Office tools for presentations and reportingSolid understanding of commercial design, building systems, and construction processesKnowledge of ADA requirements, life safety standards, and building codesStrong communication and presentation skills with experience engaging executive stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in automotive or dealership facility designProficiency with AutoCADProfessional Architecture License or progress toward licensureNCARB certificationLEED Accredited Professional credentialPMP or similar project management certificationExperience with IWMS, CAFM, or space management systemsExperience supporting large, multi-site portfoliosExposure to FF&E planning and workplace design guidelines
Day to Day Responsibilities
Gather business and operational requirements from stakeholdersConduct occupancy studies and space utilization analysisDevelop space plans, layouts, test fits, and adjacency diagramsCreate conceptual designs and planning documents using Revit and related toolsPresent planning strategies and design concepts to leadership teamsPartner with real estate, facilities, IT, finance, and operations teamsCoordinate with architects, engineers, and external vendorsReview design documents for compliance with codes and company standardsSupport project planning including scope, budgeting, and schedulingTrack milestones and manage approvals across stakeholdersAssist with site evaluations, relocations, and facility improvementsContribute to workplace strategy, portfolio planning, and optimization effortsSupport construction phases with site visits and design validationHelp manage change and communication during facility updates
