This position is ideal for someone with construction or installation experience who takes pride in quality work, can work well with a crew, and is comfortable working on active construction sites.What You'll DoAs a Field Installer, you will work with our installation team to safely and accurately install custom-fabricated metal products at commercial and residential job sites.Responsibilities includeInstall railings, stairs, gates, fences, canopies, ladders, structural and architectural metal components, and other custom-fabricated productsRead and work from shop drawings, plans, measurements, and installation detailsMeasure, lay out, level, plumb, align, and securely anchor fabricated componentsUse hand tools, power tools, drills, grinders, saws, levels, and other installation equipmentPerform field adjustments as needed to achieve proper fit and finishAssist with loading, unloading, staging, and handling fabricated materialsSafely operate or work from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and other access equipment as requiredCoordinate with supervisors, project managers, other trades, and job-site personnelProtect finished products and surrounding surfaces during installationMaintain company tools, equipment, and vehiclesFollow RDS safety procedures and all applicable job-site safety requirementsMaintain a clean and organized work areaRepresent RDS professionally when working at customer and contractor locationsWhat We're Looking For Preferred qualifications:Previous construction, installation, fabrication, or similar skilled-trade experienceExperience installing metal railings, stairs, structural or miscellaneous metals is a plusAbility to read a tape measure accurately and understand basic construction drawingsComfortable using common hand and power toolsStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to work accurately and pay attention to fit, alignment, and finished appearanceComfortable working outdoors and at heights when requiredAbility to work effectively as part of a crewDependable attendance and punctualityWillingness to travel to job sites throughout Central Florida and other locations as projects requireValid driver's license and reliable transportationPhysical Requirements Regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, push, and pullLift and carry construction materials, tools, and equipmentWork outdoors in Florida weather conditionsWork from ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and elevated work areas when requiredSafely perform physical construction and installation work throughout the workdayWhy Join RDS Industrial?RDS Industrial has been providing custom metal fabrication and installation services since 1996.
