As an Architectural Designer, you will lead and participate in all phases of residential design, from initial concept to final construction. This position is responsible for creating as-built and architectural drawings, including building envelope, exterior details, and structural sections. You will work closely with clients, project managers, and construction teams to ensure a seamless experience, maintaining both creative design integrity and technical accuracy. Your expertise in zoning regulations, building codes, and material sourcing will be essential in delivering projects that align with client goals, budgets, and timelines.

Architectural Designer candidates should possess the following qualifications:

An Architecture degree accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) and a valid Architect License for the state of Wisconsin

Eight (8) years work experience in remodeling industry with emphasis on harmonized integration of existing & new

Knowledge of remodeling structural issues and a comfortable ability to interact professionally with Engineers & Architects we contract with

Knowledge of current building and zoning codes

Proficient design, drafting, & concept rendering skills; experience in Chief Architect is required

Strong computer skills – experience working in word processing, spreadsheet and project management software. Experience in Apple OS, Apple Office Suite, and Daylite is a plus

Complete as-built and architectural drawings including building envelope, exterior and sections

Identify appropriate zoning and building code information

Manage project selections and material sourcing

Support client and project team throughout construction

Our on-site Project Managers are charged with managing all aspects of our residential remodeling projects. You will manage schedules and timelines, labor budgets, job costs, ensure quality of work and supervise work performed by support carpenters and trade partners, as well as interact with clients. This is a full-time, “bags on” management position requiring on-site project supervision while performing rough and finish carpentry work. You will collaborate with our Sales and Design team during all phases of the project and work alongside a Production Manager to ensure efficient and successful completion of projects.

Project Manager candidates should possess the following qualifications:

Experience in a digital environment; working with computers, tablets and cell phones

Read, analyze and actualize field plans

Site management, safety and cleanliness

Maintain project management software records, daily logs and job entries

Our carpenters play an integral role at ABA, supporting our Project Managers with remodeling projects and assisting with small jobs and warranty work.

We are currently looking for a Lead Carpenter with the desire and drive to run small jobs along with supporting larger projects. This is a perfect role for someone who is interested in a future as a project manager. Candidates should be organized with a proactive mindset and have some experience managing small to mid-size construction projects.

A carpenter at Architectural Building Arts is an hourly position with great benefits and an opportunity for career advancement. Support Project Managers

Rough-in carpentry skills (framing, roofing, siding, etc)
