GCP Architect - Manager

This role is for a Manager, Cloud - GCP within a consulting practice that leverages emerging technologies like Cloud, AI, ML, IoT, 5G, and quantum computing to solve complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities Include

Designing and implementing scalable GCP infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring best practices for modularity and maintainability.Expertise in GCP networking, including network design standards and hybrid cloud integrations.Building secure hybrid cloud solutions connecting on-premises and GCP environments.Developing data platforms with services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub for analytics and data processing.Supporting Generative AI initiatives using GCP AI/ML tools, especially Vertex AI.Implementing security controls, IAM/RBAC, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.Creating automated CI/CD pipelines and operational monitoring to ensure platform reliability and cost optimization.Providing technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering continuous learning and engineering excellence.

Qualifications

At least five years of recent experience with GCP or similar cloud systems.Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.Experience designing cloud architectures, implementing production infrastructure, and working with cloud-native container technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker.Proficiency in scripting, Unix/Linux environments, and source code management tools like GIT.Strong understanding of networking, security, monitoring, and compliance; experience with infrastructure security and highly available, scalable systems is a plus.Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively and work independently.
