General Engineer/Architect: Programming

The General Engineer/Architect: Programming supports the 355th Civil Engineer Squadron (355 CES) at Davis Monthan, AFB, with the programming of projects for future year execution. Evaluate and recommend programs and development plans for new construction, renovation, and improvements of real property facilities, including utility systems, utilizing a professional knowledge of multi-disciplinary engineering.Perform programming for the accomplishment of Facilities Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization (FSRM), decentralized Facilities Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization (dFSRM), military construction (MILCON), customer-funded, mission partner, and/or operations and maintenance (O&M) programs/projects.Ensure federal, state, and local codes concerning health, safety, and the environment are strictly adhered to in the programming, design, and construction of real property facilities.Use computers/computer software such as information management programs, computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) programs, and project tracking programs to solve engineering/architectural problems and facilitate work.Determine a proposed project's validity, feasibility, achievability, and efficiency based on constraints related to scheduling, cost, manpower, etc.Perform a wide range of engineering duties related to O&M functions to encompass the maintenance, repair, upgrade, and operation of infrastructure facilities and utilities.Work with organizational managers, budget personnel, and engineering/architectural authorities to develop and gain approval for proposed facility programs/projects.Assist in coordinating and attending all project development meetings, contract review meetings, pre-construction meetings, site visits, and other pertinent meetings to coordinate information with installation activities.Other duties as assigned.
