HATCH Architecture is a Los Angeles-based design studio seeking a talented, highly motivated Designer to work directly with the principal architect on residential and multidisciplinary design projects. This role is ideal for a junior to emerging designer who wants meaningful responsibility, direct mentorship, and the opportunity to contribute visibly to the evolution of the studio. Develop design studies, diagrams, drawings, models, and presentation materialsAssist with Revit models, drawing sets, details, and technical documentation under the direction of the principal architectProduce renderings and visual studies for design development and client presentationsSupport product, material, systems, and sustainability researchAssist with code, permitting, and agency researchHelp coordinate with consultants, vendors, clients, and city agencies in a professional mannerVisit project sites for documentation, observation, and design coordinationContribute to internal design discussions and studio culture Professional degree in architecture or related design field preferred1–4 years of professional experience preferred; exceptional recent graduates will be consideredStrong Revit ability requiredStrong design sensibility and graphic eyeProficiency in Adobe Creative SuiteRhino, Enscape, Lumion, Twinmotion, 3DS Max, or similar rendering software is a plusUnderstanding of construction drawings, details, materials, and building systemsStrong verbal and written communication skillsHighly organized, self-directed, and able to manage deadlinesAuthorized to work in the United States Wants direct mentorship and accelerated growthHas strong taste and cares deeply about designEnjoys both conceptual work and technical drawingIs proactive, dependable, and thoughtfulCommunicates clearlyWants to help shape a growing design studio, not disappear inside a large office
