About the University of Alaska Anchorage The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) stands as the largest institution of higher education in the University of Alaska system, serving as a vital academic and workforce development hub for Southcentral Alaska. Anchored within the Community & Technical College, the Building Technologies Division houses two critical programs—the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Architectural and Engineering Technology (AET) and the Construction Management program, the latter fully accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE). Engage in scholarly or creative activity that contributes to the field of architectural technology, engineering education, or applied construction science, including peer-reviewed publication, conference presentations, or applied research projects relevant to Arctic and subarctic building environments. Minimum of three years of professional experience in architectural drafting, engineering technology, building information modeling, or construction documentation within the architecture, engineering, or construction industry. Faculty in the Building Technologies Division are encouraged to pursue leadership roles within the division, college, and university governance structures, and to contribute to the evolution of technical education policy at the state level.
