Infrastructure Architect to support the implementation of the new Digital Transformation initiative.
The Infrastructure Architect will perform infrastructure design and architecture to include network, servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms, databases, and other components in SUNY's infrastructure with the intent to improve the IT infrastructure and optimize business operations as systems are implemented. The Enterprise architect will:
Perform infrastructure design and architecture to include network, servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms, databases, and other components in SUNY's infrastructureDocument infrastructure design and infrastructure future statePerform technology and product evaluation and selectionWork with Senior Project Manager on detailed project planPerform system integration and collaborate with other architects to ensure infrastructure architecture and design aligns with SUNY's application and data plansPlan capacity requirements including existing and futureEnsure compliance with SUNY cybersecurity requirements and policiesReport to the CTO on statusMeasure, monitor, and continually improve system performance developing and implementing infrastructure architecture for Higher Education or Government projects.
