Infrastructure Architect

Lead development, validation, and maintenance of the Infrastructure Architecture Design Document (IADD) Ensure infrastructure, hosting, network, database, middleware, and integration designs align with Commonwealth and PennDOT standards Establish architectural guardrails and validate scalability, resiliency, maintainability, and operational supportability Coordinate architecture reviews, risk assessments, remediation planning, and security/compliance activities Identify architectural risks and define mitigation strategies Validate dependencies across applications, shared services, integrations, environments, and infrastructure layers Ensure platform services are sized, configured, and documented for steady-state AMS operations Provide recommendations for managing architectural complexity and technical debt Oversee transition-related changes, environment onboarding, and configuration updates Validate technical impacts, readiness, and rollback strategies Support ITSM-aligned change and release execution Support transition readiness assessments involving environments, tooling, access, monitoring, and documentation Confirm IADD artifacts, configuration baselines, and architecture diagrams accurately reflect the operational environment Provide technical readiness input for formal transition acceptance Minimum 10 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure or solution architecture roles Experience supporting complex, multi-application environments in public-sector or regulated settings Strong knowledge of infrastructure platforms, application architectures, and IT service delivery models Ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical and operational teams U.S. citizenship required; proof of citizenship must be provided prior to employment Must be located within one hour of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification (optional) Cloud platform certification such as AWS or Azure (optional) ITIL Foundation certification (optional) Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and support IT service delivery in regulated environments.
