At Datavant, you’ll be part of a driven and highly collaborative team dedicated to creating transformative change in healthcare.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking an Integration Architect for our MuleSoft Platform who will take ownership of Datavant's MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, driving architecture, development standards, vendor management, and integration patterns that connect enterprise business systems.
As we lean into MuleSoft as our enterprise integration layer—connecting financial platforms, CRM environments, HR systems, automation infrastructure, and healthcare data workflows through API-led connectivity—this role will fill an essential gap in our organization.
This role is hands-on; the Integration Architect will define integration architecture and governance standards while also directly engaging in development tasks—building APIs, writing DataWeave transformations, reviewing code, and troubleshooting production issues. We need someone comfortable both with strategizing integration architecture and implementing the solutions.
This position will closely collaborate with various departments such as the Salesforce Center of Excellence, Finance IT, HR IT, and others to translate business needs into reusable API solutions. Additionally, this role will manage the MuleSoft vendor relationship and ensure platform health, license optimization, and operational reliability.
What You Will Do
Integration Architecture & Platform Governance
Own the architecture and governance of Datavant's MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API connectivity standards and platform administration. Define and enforce integration design patterns, ensuring consistency and reducing complexity. Maintain the API catalog on Anypoint Exchange, promoting discoverability and reuse. Lead architectural reviews for new integration requests to ensure alignment with enterprise patterns. Manage platform administration, including environment provisioning and resource allocation. Hands-On Integration Development
Design and build complex Mule 4 applications and APIs in Anypoint Studio. Develop API specifications following API-first design principles. Create intricate DataWeave transformations for data mapping. Establish CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment. Conduct code reviews, enforcing high-quality standards. Cross-Functional Partnership & Intake Management
Work with Product Management and stakeholders to manage integration requests and prioritize the integration backlog. Collaborate with Salesforce Center of Excellence on CRM integration patterns. Engage with Finance IT on integrations for billing and reporting. Partner with HR IT to integrate systems across HRIS and payroll. Translate business requirements into clear integration plans. Vendor Management & Platform Operations
Manage the Salesforce MuleSoft vendor relationship, including licenses and platform roadmap alignment. Monitor platform health, license utilization, and performance metrics. Evaluate platform upgrades and make recommendations. Design monitoring frameworks to ensure proactive issue detection. Manage incident response for integration failures. Standards, Enablement & Team Development
Establish a Center for Enablement approach with documented patterns, onboarding guides, and self-service capabilities. Provide technical mentorship to integration developers to enhance quality. Maintain operational documentation and architectural records. Track platform metrics to measure success. What You Need to Succeed
