The role at a glance: NBBJ New York is seeking an Intermediate Architectural Designer to join our team. At NBBJ, an intermediate Architectural Designer is responsible for supporting design leadership on projects, contributing to setting design quality standards, fostering a collaborative design environment, and advancing the firm's design reputation through active participation in project work, team mentorship, and client interactions. Review/Critique: Ensure design quality by reviewing projects and engaging teams in firm-wide peer reviews. Process: Collaborate with the PA and PM to organize project work and team structures, fostering strong design leadership across all phases and aspects of the work. What you will need to succeed: 5 - 10 years of professional experience Healthcare, Corporate or Commercial experience a plus Bachelor's Degree: B Arch or M Arch desired Architectural licensure a plus Deep understanding of high-performance building concepts, with LEED Accreditation or at-or-within 18 months of hire Strong conceptual design and schematic design skills Strong verbal and graphic communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams of designers Proficiency in Revit with 3D modeling skills; Sketchup, and/or Rhino desired Working knowledge of Adobe Suite; Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign Interest and experience in Grasshopper workflows are beneficial Ability to participate in multiple projects and manage deadlines The annual base pay range for this role is anticipated to be between $82,000 and $92,000.
