Intermediate Architectural Designer

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design, with a strong portfolio that showcases innovative and sustainable design solutions. Project types are diverse and include concepts and research across Commercial, Higher Education, Historic Preservation, and Public and Civic sectors. Location: Phoenix, Arizona Design Leadership: Lead the conceptual and schematic design phases for various projects, ensuring creativity and functionality in design solutionsProject Management: Oversee project development from inception to completion, coordinating with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure design intent is achievedTechnical Expertise: Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documents in compliance with local codes and regulationsTeam Collaboration: Mentor junior designers and interns, fostering a collaborative environment and providing guidance on design practices and project managementClient Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their needs, present design proposals, and incorporate feedback into project developmentSustainability Focus: Advocate for sustainable design practices and integrate innovative solutions to enhance energy efficiency and reduce environmental impactQuality Control: Conduct thorough reviews of design documents for accuracy and quality, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelinesResearch and Development: Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and materials to inform design decisions and promote best practices Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institutionMinimum 5 years of professional experience in architectural design, with a range of project typesProficient in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite)Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate design concepts effectively to clients and stakeholdersStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
