JOB SUMMARY: The Electrical Engineer Intern will work with Electrical Designers and Engineers to use various design software to create accurate drawings.
JOB DUTIES:
* Utilize design software to create detailed and accurate 2D and 3D models of custom equipment based on client specifications and project requirements.
* Create project documents as required, including bills of materials, parts lists, etc
* Communicate variances in job scope effectively.
* Ensure technical support is provided to the appropriate teams: Design and Fabrication
* Ensure proper communication with all teams throughout the duration of each project.
* Work diligently to ensure there are no disruptions on projects.
* Comply with Company’s Quality Control and Project Management procedures.
* Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization’s goals.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a Vestal Corporation office.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and able to operate a computer and other office equipment.
* Must be able to move about the office to access office equipment and other office buildings within the Vestal office complex.
* This position frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
* Must be enrolled in a Bachelors degree program.
* 0-1 years of experience is required.
* Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong working knowledge of the Electrical Construction Industry.
* Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
* Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.
* Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.
