Intern/Co-op – Landscape Architecture + Planning

About the role
Langan is seeking an intern to join our Landscape Architecture studio in New Haven. You will work on planning, design, and permitting tasks for a variety of projects, including urban revitalization, commercial sites, and campus design. This is a paid, full-time position for Summer 2027.

What you'll do

Assist with the planning and design of landscape architecture, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects.
Conduct assessments for zoning, ordinances, and permits.
Help determine project feasibility by analyzing collected data.
Prepare and modify design documents, including plans, reports, specifications, cost estimates, and construction schedules.
Assess site conditions such as soil composition, terrain, hydrology, and topography.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need

Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Landscape Architecture.
Preference is given to students in their junior or senior year or those pursuing an MS degree.
A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
Prior internship experience is desired.
Strong skills in Adobe Suite, Sketchup, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Excel.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to travel if required by project assignments.
Submission of a resume and a work sample or portfolio.
