Description
This is a 1-year contract remote position for an IT/Enterprise Architect. The role involves responsibility for system analysis and design review, ensuring that business problems are fully understood, requirements are thoroughly investigated, and collaboration with internal and external teams is achieved to create architecture designs. A key responsibility is to create architectural models/diagrams of existing agency applications by gathering information from various sources. The IT/Enterprise Architect will align state agencies’ needs with technology solutions that drive innovation and shape the overall IT strategy.
Compensation and Benefits
W-2 rate: $75/hour
Corp to corp is accepted

Conduct systematic reviews of business, security, service, and information systems
Review enterprise IT projects for alignment with state and agency goals
Analyze statewide IT procurements and related project information
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain enterprise architecture strategy
Evaluate current technology infrastructure for improvement opportunities
Establish and uphold enterprise architecture principles and guidelines
Assess potential risks associated with architectural initiatives
Support enterprise-wide IT projects and procurements
Evaluate third-party vendors and solutions for adherence to standards
Implement architectural standards and keep up with emerging technology trends
Qualifications
Relevant experience in IT/Enterprise Architecture
Proven expertise in system analysis and design
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks
Experience in project management and stakeholder collaboration
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Experience Requirements
Minimum of 5 years in a relevant IT/Enterprise Architecture role
Experience with enterprise architecture methodologies and best practices
Familiarity with state government IT processes and governance
