Job Captain - Commercial Architecture

Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or minimum 3-4 years of relevant commercial architecture experience.Excellent character and judgment.Excellent communication skills.Excellent problem solving skills.AutoCAD skills are a plus.Proficient Revit skills.Microsoft Office software skills.Adobe Creative Suite skills.Understanding of building codes and ADA guidelines.General knowledge of construction methodology, architectural detailing, and building systemsProfessional architectural degree preferred or equivalent experience.Understanding and knowledge of architectural codes, design.Demonstrate oral and written English communication skills. Responsibilities :Navigate through Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents.Performs drawing documentation during all design phases, while keeping the Project Manager informed.Keep project phases on schedule, promptly notifying the Project Manager to any potential schedule or budget issues.Review drawings for accuracy, including building codes, scope of work, and design intent.Coordinate with all consultations.Coordinate primarily with in-house staffWork closely with all levels of staff and management.Attend site meetings and assist with entering field notes.Attend meetings (virtually or onsite), setting up new project folder, scanning and plotting as needed.Accountable for project budgets and schedules.Interfaces with clients in a minor capacity.Effectively performs work on multiple projects at a time as directed.Observes or participates in meetings with Associates or Project Managers during all phases of the project as requested.Conducts project specific code and design criteria research and incorporates requirements into the project.Prepares pricing plan/ schematic design packages.Prepares construction drawings and specifications as requested.Responsible for back checking drawings and specifications for accuracy prior to final review.Observes and participates in construction administration services.Continues to develop understanding of building design concepts, construction methodologies, architectural detailing, building systems, and finish materials.Continues to develop understanding of building codes, and ADA guidelines .
