Interior Designer, Job Captain **NO RECRUITERS PLEASE**

AVRP Studios, an award-winning and innovative design firm, is seeking an Interiors Job Captain to join our Interiors and architecture team. We're looking for a creative professional with strong Revit skills, excellent communication skills and technical abilities. We are looking for individuals who thrive in a collaborative environment and brings technical rigor to sustainable, high-performance design.

Reports to: Department Director/Principal or Senior Project Manager

Schedule: This is a hybrid position, requiring regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA.

Education & Experience

●     Bachelor’s degree in interior design

●     Four to seven years of experience in commercial interior architecture

Overview

This role requires an interior designer who is comfortable with technical skills as well as strong presentation capabilities that support firmwide interior design efforts and client relationships. Experience should be focused on commercial interior design.

Qualifications

●     Strong written, verbal, and software communication skills.

●     Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, and Excel.

●     WELL, LEED sustainability accreditation a plus.

●     Knowledge of Enscape and InDesign and plus.

Key Responsibilities

●     Demonstrated ability to assist consultant teams across all project phases including technical documentation, code and accessibility and code requirements required for permit.

●     Strong design and communications skills with the ability to create high-quality materials and design presentations.

●     Proven ability in AutoCAD/Revit support for project documentation.

●     Demonstrated ability to assist teams assigned projects and coordinate effectively with architecture and consultant teams.

●     Demonstrated creativity and ability to create color, material and FF&E design concepts.

●     Conduct project code research and analysis

●     Support jurisdictional agency submittals

●     Assist as a communication point between clients, contractors, consultants, and AVRP staff
